ME Group Holdings Limited
(“ME Group” or the “Company”)

Fast-growing LegalTech company ME Group has appointed Shaun Astley-Stone group Chairman. Shaun, who has guided the business as CEO over the past seven months, takes up his role immediately and is responsible for leading the board of the Cheshire-based business as it aims to dominate the market for tech-based services in consumer dispute resolution.

Rob Cooper, co-founder and newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of ME Group said: “We are thrilled to have someone of Shaun’s calibre and experience leading the Board as we evolve into an established business delivering efficient dispute resolution through LegalTech.

Rob explained that ME Group works with clients who have been mis-sold financial services products, such as mortgages, to provide a resolution for them, with the help of expert solicitors, litigation funders and insurers. Since it began trading at the end of 2017, over 100,000 clients have asked ME Group for help.

He said: “Shaun has been a leading player in the financial services sector for more than two decades, holding senior positions in the consumer redress sector, and for a number of leading financial services businesses, including Alliance & Leicester. This makes him uniquely placed to help the Group build constructive relationships with customers, financial services players and regulators alike.”

Shaun Astley-Stone said: “ME group has enormous potential to be the standard-bearer for technology-led solutions to customer detriment. All too often, people who have a mis-selling grievance are let down by claims management companies and law firms who don’t deliver a professional service.”

“I am convinced ME Group’s LegalTech will professionalise dispute resolution for the benefit of all stakeholders.”

“Thanks to our technology, law firms don’t have to undertake weeks of investigation (we do it for them). Moreover, ME Group ensures high quality complaint submissions to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).”

“Our technology means every box is ticked, so clients get quick decisions that enable them to get their lives back on track.”

Shaun added: “It is a cliché but ME Group’s proposition is a genuine game changer in a challenging sector. I’m excited by the opportunity to work with the investors and our team to grow this young business into a respected household name.”
